The L.K. Wood S.C. is currently welcoming new teams to our club. The St. Louis soccer landscape is rapidly changing. There are few “traditional” clubs left with the advent of a large number of “super clubs”. Please read our mission statement. This spring (2009) we are starting a few new teams within our club: U-8 Boys, U-10 Boys, U-10 Girls, and a U-11 Girls team. We are interested in creating new teams in other age groups.

Our mission as a club is to enable the youth of the St Louis area to develop a long-term love of soccer and build a passion for the game. We intend to provide the highest level of training at a reasonable cost, while developing players and achieving competitive teams. We will provide an atmosphere where players train hard but can develop life-long friendships. We will promote sportsmanship both on and off the field. The goal is to help each player increase their confidence and self esteem while learning current playing styles. We will make available to the coaches and trainers the tools and resources to accomplish our mission.

We formed in year 2003 because we believe we have a different perspective on what select soccer should and can become. We want players who start with LK Wood S.C. to finish with us. Our goal is to have three teams in each age bracket in order that players can move up or down, with in the age bracket. In other words a player will always have a home at LK Wood S.C.
